This policy explains how Sack of Hacks services process information when you visit vovchak.io or use PDF Cleaner Advanced, Logo Print Prep, or QR Code Maker.
Who runs these services
Vovchak.io is operated by an individual based in Poland. For privacy questions or requests, contact vovchak.v@gmail.com.
Information we process
- PDF Cleaner files and edits: The PDF you upload, rendered page images, edits, and undo history are stored temporarily on the service server so the editor can work. Document contents are not used for advertising.
- Logo Print Prep uploads and results: Your image is sent to the service server and processed to prepare print-sized PNG files and a readiness report. The original upload is not included in the generated package. The generated PNG files, report, and ZIP package are stored on the server under a random job identifier so you can view the report and download the package. These generated files are not automatically deleted at this time and may remain on the server until removed through server maintenance. Do not upload artwork you are not comfortable sending to and having processed by this service.
- QR Code Maker: The text you enter is used in your browser to generate a QR code and is not uploaded to the Sack of Hacks service server. The page loads the QRCode.js library from cdnjs, a third-party content delivery service; that provider may receive standard request information such as your IP address and browser details when the library is requested.
- Session information: PDF Cleaner uses an essential browser session cookie containing a random identifier to associate your requests and document with your editing session.
- Payment information: If one-time checkout is enabled, Stripe processes the payment. We do not receive or store your full card number. The application stores a random session identifier, a hash identifying the PDF, Stripe’s checkout session identifier, and the time an unlock was recorded. The PDF itself is not sent to Stripe.
- Advertising information: Google AdSense is used on Vovchak.io and may be used on other pages where ads are displayed. Google and its advertising partners may process device, browser, cookie or local-storage identifiers, IP address, and information about interactions with ads, subject to your consent choices and Google’s settings.
- Technical logs: The hosting server may record request and diagnostic information, such as IP address, request time, requested path, and error details, to operate and secure the services.
How long information is kept
PDF Cleaner keeps the uploaded PDF, rendered pages, edits, and history while your document is active. The application removes document records after more than seven days without document activity when a later PDF is uploaded. Because this cleanup runs during a subsequent upload, inactive records may remain on the server longer than seven days if no later upload triggers cleanup. Replacing a PDF removes the previous page and edit data for that browser session.
For Logo Print Prep, generated PNG files, the readiness report, and ZIP package do not currently have an automatic expiry and may remain on the service server until removed during server maintenance. The service does not currently provide a self-service deletion feature for these results.
Unlock records currently have no automatic expiry and may remain in the service database. Stripe retains payment and transaction information under its own retention practices. Server logs are retained according to the hosting server’s log-rotation settings.
Why we process information
- To provide PDF editing, preserve your work between requests, and return the edited PDF.
- To process a logo image, create print-sized PNG files and a readiness report, and make the ZIP package available for download.
- To generate a QR code locally in your browser from the text you provide.
- To process an optional one-time payment and recognize an unlock for the relevant PDF.
- To display and measure advertising where permitted by your consent and applicable settings.
- To keep the services secure, diagnose errors, and meet legal obligations.
Legal grounds
Where European data-protection law applies, we process information as necessary to provide a service you request, to pursue legitimate interests in operating and securing the services, to meet legal obligations, and, for advertising technologies where required, on the basis of your consent. You can withdraw advertising consent through the consent controls when available; withdrawal does not affect processing that took place before withdrawal.
Cookies and advertising choices
The essential PDF Cleaner session cookie is used to provide the editing service. Logo Print Prep and QR Code Maker do not require an account or use a browser session cookie to process a logo or generate a QR code. Google AdSense may use cookies or similar technologies on pages where ads are displayed for advertising, frequency controls, fraud prevention, and measurement. See Google’s Advertising and Privacy page for details.
For visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, the publisher must configure and publish an appropriate Google-certified consent message in AdSense before serving ads that require consent. You can make or change advertising choices through the consent message when enabled. Browser settings can also be used to control cookies, although blocking essential cookies may prevent PDF Cleaner from working correctly.
Service providers and sharing
We use hosting providers to run the services; uploaded images and generated Logo Print Prep files are processed or stored on the service server. The QR Code Maker loads its code library from cdnjs, operated by Cloudflare, which receives the request needed to serve that library. When checkout is enabled, Stripe handles payment processing and receives the information needed to create and verify a payment. Google provides AdSense advertising on pages where ads are displayed. These providers process information under their own terms and privacy disclosures: Stripe Privacy Policy, Google Privacy Policy, and Cloudflare Privacy Policy. We do not sell uploaded PDF documents or logo images or share their contents with Google or Stripe.
International processing
Our hosting, payment, or advertising providers may process information in countries outside Poland or the European Economic Area. Where required, providers use applicable safeguards for international transfers. See the providers’ privacy information for details.
Your privacy rights
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal data, request data portability, and withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. To make a request, email vovchak.v@gmail.com. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority; in Poland, this is the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (UODO).
Children
These services are not directed to children, and we do not knowingly seek to collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the services or applicable requirements change. The date at the top of this page shows when it was most recently revised.
